It is not acceptable for any Bahraini to be unemployed, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa said yesterday.
His Majesty was speaking as he received the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions (GFBTU) Secretary General and the members of the General Secretariat.
King Hamad lauded the efforts by the federation to ensure job opportunities for all citizens and for finding appropriate solutions to ensure the return of all suspended employees. He said that he did not accept any Bahraini to be unemployed and added that the Labour Ministry will continue its efforts to guarantee the return of all expelled employees.
The meeting follows the submission of the final report by the National Commission which was tasked with the implementation of the recommendations in the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) report.
His Majesty expressed his hope for a new brighter phase for all Bahraini workers. He also expressed hope for enhancing cooperation with the private sector to ensure reinstatements.
