Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan yesterday said that the procedures for reinstating dismissed employees were successfully finalised by the government.
Mr Humaidan said that the government studied 2,462 cases and reinstated 97 per cent of these employees to their old jobs. Some workers were reinstated to similar or better jobs with different companies at their request. Twenty dismissed workers refused to return to their old jobs.
The minister urged managements of companies to intensify efforts and carry out agreed measures. He added that 180 employees were reinstated in the public sector.
The Civil Service Bureau Chairman Ahmed Zayed Al Zayed expressed his hope that all Bahraini workers will show more commitment and dedication for the benefit of the nation and people.
