Following directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in line with the Cabinet's decision, Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa chaired here today the first meeting of the Government Committee in charge of scrutinizing the recommendations featuring in the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI)'s final report.
During the meeting, the panel reviewed BICI's proposals and discussed mechanisms of implementing them according to a clear work plan that will be submitted during the next Cabinet regular weekly meeting.
The government work team will convene on Saturday morning to discuss the plans and visions of ministries and other concerned sides regarding the implementation and activation of BICI report recommendations within a comprehensive national reform plan that meets HM King Hamad's aspirations.
