The Cabinet endorsed amendments to another law, which now states that torture cases will be handled by the Public Prosecutor even in a State of National Safety. It added that those who have complained of torture and mistreatment must be compensated at the earliest.

The Cabinet also discussed the Human Rights and Social Development Ministry's memo on setting up a High Human Rights Coordinating Committee.
